"Hey, notice I haven't been on in the last few days? While I was visiting my parents, we had a house fire
that took out the entire basement, and destroyed
our main power panel, boiler (which is what caused the
fire to begin with, it was malfunctioning, and it eventually burst into flames) and phone circuits (all
in the same room in the basement), along with our water lines.
My kitchen (there is two in the house, one is
mine) was destroyed. I took about 24 pictures with my digital camera, one of which was a picture of our refrigerator, the interesting part was the magnets are
"Dripping" off the refrigerator. They melted, leaving white spots (no
soot) where they once were, and melted down the front of the refrigerator. Our room, and all computer equipment suffered minor
smoke damage, and we are in a hotel for the next few months while the house is ripped apart and rebuilt.
Pictures will be sent when available (ever seen a boombox that has been
through a fire? Don't look anything like one anymore) and you'll see me on and off line more, as I will be using a persistent
dialup connection :-(
