I now have a real 800 number. Not like one of those rinky dink ones you get when you sign up for mci long distance or whatever, but a real, honest to god 800 number, that I myself own.

It costs like a buck a month, plus usage fees. Not bad at all, esepecially since I can do custom call routing and blocking. w00t!

Anyone claiming to have a number that you can block my ability to see your phone number on (barring the obvious things like ANI spoofing, etc) step up. I challenge you.

Mobile Phreak? I could shriek!

Send an email to phone@timmins.net in plain text format, no signature, preferrably from a mobile device like a pager or cellphone.
In that email, put at minimum the area code and prefix, such as "248-683" or put in the whole number, it doesn't matter, as long as the area code and prefix are dash seperated.

Then see what happens. Note that its formatted to fit on the screens of most cellphones. Use in combination with ANI for loads of fun.

w00t!

(And no, , I haven't gotten a chance to import that info into my database yet :-> )

Fucking fuck fuck

Someone's spoofing my email address to send email viruses. ugh.

It's more ironic that I run linux with Ximian Evolution, but I got a complaint today where I was told that I was infected with a virus. Ugh. Fuck outlook – even though I don't run it it screws me.

WTF. I think it's bring your children to work day.

i remember when it was bring your daughter to work day, sons be damned. Now there's a bunch of kids with ID badges on scurrying about today. Sons and daughters. That's friggin cool. I wish I could have done that when I was a kid.

heh, one of my coworkers just called me Mr Paul in front of his kids. :->

What a humorous day to wear my punchdown tool for the hell of it.

Pictures

IE users, IE doesn't handle progressive JPEGs like it should in some cases, if the image looks broken, look at the status bar – it won't display until it's fully loaded.

Becky, cute as always here

, being a crazy mofo as usual. here

Becky recently got her first bank account. This is truly the first time she's ever taken me to dinner where the money spent was truly hers in every sense of the word. here

My desk at work. Confidential data is scribbled out with white blobs. If you had the data I have here, and signed the things I signed, you'd do it too. here

"My other car is yellow too!" Now, I have nothing against yellow, or yellow cars, but bragging about it like this is totally dumb looking. here

Found the site of our local National Weather Service bureau. This is one of the cooler pictures. This is their radar installation. here

My office has a beautiful view at sunrise. here

Ever seen a house that is like 10 feet off the ground? here
I'd say that I think this was a normal house moving thing, but the house and area look abandoned.

I hate it when I leave my fucking access cards at home. It wouldn't matter if I worked the day shift, since the receptionist doors unlock on a timer from 9-5, but when you work basically 3rd shift, it friggin sucks.

On the other hand, I can happily assure the IT Security guy that his motion sensor setup is hard to fool, even with the bizarre things I had on hand (like a 4 1/2' rubber coated steel cable).

Ahh well, thank god for tech support coming in at 7. Thanks D, I owe you one. :->

Anyone else here think the rock world has simply stagnated lately? The same songs that were on the billboard top 20 in September of last year are still there now. Where's all the new music already?
I mean, this stuff's great and all, but it's getting old. I'm starting to have to look toward the hip-hop scene to hear anything new these days. Even that stuff's pretty old too.

WTF?
