WTF
You know traffic is bad when you can post to livejournal from traffic using a laptop. I've been using livejournal, reading email, etc. Ugh.
696/96 intersection sucks right now.

Damn dude, that sucks.
Is that interchange normally that bad?
No way. It's sometimes bad but there was 2 lanes closed for construction
I got stuck in a traffic jam there at midnight! FUCKING MIDNIGHT! WTF GO TO BED PEOPLE!
ouch
Damn. I wondered how long that lasted. We went to webberville from Lansing around Sat. night about 2am or so.
I suspect at least part of that has to do with the fact that it's actually the I-275/96/696 interchange, and I-75 is closed from the I-75/I-375 interchange in Detroit South to about where my parents live. Thus, people are probably using I-275 quite a bit more.
It's all getting far too much like the Santa Monica Freeway around here for my liking.
well that and the intersection closes the right two lanes.. You know, the majority of the lanes from 696.
Today, the service drive on 696 was so backed up I had to take a side street to work.
It really is true, then. There are only two seasons in Michigan: Winter and Construction.
construction is my favorite though: moderate breezes, beautiful woodlands and sunshine, and natural splendor. Also you can spot a plentiful inhabitant of our lands in this season: The striped orange barrel. Sometimes they even have a blinking plumage. It's beautiful!
I'm personally wondering when open season on the orange barrel occurs.
Any time you can not get people caught in the crossfire. And even if you do, there's a specific posted price as long as it's a construction worker. They usually post it around construction areas.
I'm totally cool with the construction workers. They aren't the problem, it's the miles and miles of orange striped barrels blocking off lanes when nothing is going on that bother me.
yea I'm just sayin accidents happen, and should they, there's an easy price. The real solution is just to be accurate, of course.
