Okay I've been incredibly busy lately, like that's anything new.
+ I have a nephew now
+ We found a house we liked. We may be putting an offer on it soon
+ I finally replaced my mangled ham radio antenna on my car, adding a Kenwood TM-D700A radio to replace my aging and deficient radio shack piece of poo. Wow is it awesome. AI8W, I saw you on APRS. Did you get my message I sent you?
+ I will be able to attend Notacon on friday, officially.
+ Our ride is shared and our hotel room split on the above. And the panel I'm running is bulging with enough experts to answer any question you could possibly want to come up with about telecommunications.
– I had to go to jackson today. I got there, and the customer held me up for 1.5 hours, then turned me away due to irrelevant contract issues. I grabbed a lunch while the higher ups worked it all out, and came back out. I should have been back by 1pm. I was back at 4:30pm. I went there straight from home at 8am. Ugh.
– I have had a cough for the last 1.75 weeks. I think I originally got it from my niece. Then it was mixed in with my allergies to create this bizarre frankenillness. I think if I remember to take all my allergy meds regularly it should go away. Today was drastically different in this regard and last night was the first time I took everything I was supposed to this season.
– I'm tired and am waiting to do a major software deployment in 20 minutes.
+ I can go in at 9:30-10 as compensation for above
– Clerical error means no direct deposit this week. Live check. Eew.
+ new nin record == good. Thank you, itunes.
No, I didn't (until I went and looked on FindU.com)… but that's mostly due to the fact that I have antenna issues myself.. I need to figure out what type of ferrite core to get to build the balun for this niftyneato idea I had for a mobile VHF/UHF dualbander… but I'm pressed for time, so I've been remiss in finishing the project.
Thanks for sending it tho! Which repeaters do you frequent? Or are you a "52" kinda guy? ::grin::
I really haven't been on any repeaters for almost a year because a) my old radio sucked, and b) my previous antenna was eaten by a carwash and I've been too busy to find a good replacement.
I usually meet people on repeaters when we talk. I don't really frequent any. I used to be on the W8OAK ARPSC one until I was blackballed by the county.
Did you call me while you were here? Lesley told me there was a call for me but she didn't recognize the number. Where'd you eat, by the way?
Yes, I did. I was hoping to stop by and get becky's pouch thing. Do you think it would survive postal mail? We're going to cleveland next weekend and it'd be good to have! 🙂
I ate at a wendy's just outside of Jackson proper. They had free wireless internet. That was awesome because I just happen to have a PDA with wireless.
I reckon it could survive being shipped.
Is there a way you could freeze the little brick thingus inside, wrap it in foam or something else cushiony and insulatey, and do that? I'm sure the insulin will survive.
Okay. We still have your address. I'll try to send it tomorrow.
yeeeea. i bought the new nin yesterday, its the only thing making me not punch people at work right now…
If they have it coming, don't let trent stop ya. I'm sure he'd agree.
A panel, eh? A bunch of PBX-bashing trunkers?
Could be, unless you volunteered. The only perk is being up front instead of in a chair, but good times nonetheless. Did you want to be the PBX expert in the event there is such a question?
I hereby volunteer. Although I'm far from an expert on PBX's, and only have direct product experience in a few product lines, I'd be honored.
Do you know stuff about inside wiring or are you just a pbx dude?
Re: nin
Yea, I saw all that because ninwiki links to telcodata and I watch my referrers. I have been seeing lots of traffic on that for the last few months. 🙂
Re: nin
AWESOME
I'm mainly the PBX/KTS dude, but I do some IW.
