Dear Internet,
Please stop breaking. I'm looking at you AGAIN, Level 3.
If your network worked right now, Level 3, you could probably read this post.

what now?
2 hour long GLOBAL outage between 2am and 5am ET.
I know I struggle with algebra, but isn't it 3 hours between 2 and 5?
๐
lol – :
a) I'm all about the algebra. If you have trouble, CALL ME ๐
b) it was 4:30+ and some change, I rounded down to the nearest full hour. :-/
Dear Paul,
There really wasn't an outage, somebody I'm not saying who *cough* Cogent *cough* was downloading an aweful lot of pr0n involving Diet Mountain Dew in the videos, you were the likely suspect so we shut you down.
Your Pal,
The Internet
Strange. I was checking my email around 2:30am when I finally got back home yesterday and everything worked fine. I was checking my finances between 2:45 to 3:15am with hiccups (every now and then I got a page timed out or a page cannot be displayed) but it still worked. I guess the outage effected ISPs differently. Yes, I do understand what the word globally means. My only online friend from another state that was still awake and lives in Ok and has cox cable (I have comcast), said his internet was working fine when he checked his webmail at 3:30am CST. Not that I don't believe you, but I'm just wondering.. how'd you find out about the global outage?
btw I got your email and I'm going to reply to it just as soon as I get some spare time.
I'm a level 3 customer, well, my employer is. My upstream ISP gets transit from level 3 as well, so I was heavily affected until my ISP dropped their transit links to Level 3, at which point I could do anything but talk to sites hosted at level 3, such as $employer's site, and level3.com, etc.
PS: Your last email was beyond offensive. If your reply is anything like the original, don't bother replying.
Yea.. that was a BIG problem.
